Associated Northcliffe Digital and The Irish News were just two of the big winners at last night’s Newspaper Society Advertising and Digital Media Awards.
AND’s Derby-based new product development team won three of the six digital awards on offer including two awards for its pioneering memorial website Lasting Tribute. It was also crowned Digital Team of the Year.
The Irish News also went away with a stack of gongs including Niche Publication (Newsprint) and Retail Supplement or Section of the Year.
Other winners included the Nottingham Evening Post for Newspaper Website of the Year and Trinity Mirror Midlands for Blog of the Year.
The annual prize giving took place at the historic Crewe Hall and attracted entries from across the UK local media’s advertising and digital media teams.
