The Kidderminster Shuttle has shortlisted five candidates for its annual award for unsung heroes.

The award recognises members of the public who have worked above and beyond the call of duty.

The prize for the winner is a weekend break in London taking in a show at the Lyceum Theatre. In addition to this they will be given a day out to remember as a guest of County Council Chairman, Peter Carter.
