Les Hinton and Danny Cammiade have been appointed as new directors of Johnston Press.

Les, who is executive chairman of News International and chairman of the Press Complaints Commission’s Code of Practice Committee, will become a non-executive director.

Danny, who is the the group’s director of operations, becomes an executive director in the role of chief operating officer. He is also chairman of the Newspaper Society markting committee.

Both appointments are with immediate effect.
