Thirty something and raring to go

Where can you go when you’re thirty something and you want a good a night out?

That’s the question taxing Shropshire Star writers Deanna Delamotta and Sarah Hayward, who are urging readers to help them compile a guide to the best venues for partygoers in their 30s – as well as the no-go areas.

The pair threw down the gauntlet in a column headed The Big Thirty Something Challenge, with a picture of them looking bored and holding glasses of wine.

“Where do you go in Shropshire and Mid-Wales if you’re still up for a good time but don’t want the baby-faced clientele making you feel like the oldest swinger in town?” they wrote.

“Why is it that unless you’re under 25 or over 60, the world of pubs, bars and nightclubs ignore you? Everyone knows that we’re getting younger as we get older these days. Why doesn’t someone sit up and take notice of the social aspirations of people in their 30s?”
