The funeral of former Belfast Telegraph worker Thomas Carroll has taken place.

The father-of-five, known as Tony, died on Wednesday, aged 82, after an illness.

He had worked for the Telegraph in various roles for six decades.

His first job for the newspaper was as a messenger boy when he was just 13, and in later years he contributed bowling reports for Ireland’s Saturday Night.
