Supernatural tale

The Northwich Guardian has beaten its national rivals to an exclusive story about a very strange phenomenon.

The newspaper was the first to feature the story of two-year-old Harry Fairweather who has a condition that has left his family and medical staff dumbfounded.

Every time the toddler visits a shop, his body sets the security alarms off.

Since the story was published in the Northwich Guardian, the worldwide media has beaten a path to Harry’s door to vye for a piece of him.

The youngster has made the national press, three radio programmes and is lined up for an appearance on Channel 4′ s Big Breakfast.

Various magazines from across the world have asked for an interview, German television channel Sat 1 has called his parents, and even Radio New Zealand has been in touch.

Mum Paula said: “It’s been lots of fun but absolutely hectic. Last Friday, I had to take the phone off the hook because it just never stopped ringing.

“We were a bit worried about Harry’s welfare with all the attention, but he loves it and really enjoyed seeing himself on TV.”

Harry’s family sought medical attention but were told they were wasting their time.

Paula explained: “Harry is perfectly well so we will keep enjoying our 15 minutes of fame thanks to the Guardian.”
