Shropshire Star man Andy Maxwell has missed out on the £5,550 top prize on daytime quiz show The Biggest Game in Town.

Andy, circulation representative for the Star at Ketley, beat two other contestants in a general knowledge quiz to finish first and gain the chance to win more than £5,000.

However he was beaten by the clock in a
nail-biting finale and eventually came away with just £100.

Andy was selected from a shortlist of 18 to appear on the show and had spent the weekend brushing up on his current affairs knowledge.

He has previously appeared on the Wheel of Fortune when he won a car.
