The Evening Star has struck a deal with British Gas to provide its best-ever coverage for Premiership newcomers Ipswich Town.

The paper is promising unrivalled coverage and told its readers that no other newspaper in the country will follow its club like the Star will follow the Portman Road team.

The changes all add up to a “Super Blues” season in the Star, with extra pages, viewpoints, analysis, facts and all the latest from the Premiership build up.

Every Friday, the Star is promising a five-page Premier Blues build up special followed up each Monday with a new eight-page pull out devoted to Town’s Premiership glory bid.

There’s also the chance to win VIP tickets to the biggest games and to enter a £3,000 Dream Team game.

Star editor Nigel Pickover said in the paper: “We’re providing more pages, more comment, more analysis, and more facts and figures than ever before – in The Star’s unique style which has made it Britain’s most successful regional daily newspaper.”
