Shuttle hero features in booklet

A former Kidderminster Shuttle worker has been featured in a booklet about Hartlebury men who died during the Second World War.

Ronald Davies, a former print worker on the paper, is one of 18 men whose lives have been researched by historian Philip Smith, of Milton Keynes.

The pamphlet focuses on the service history of former pupils from Queen Elizabeth’s School.

Ronald fought in El Alamein and is buried in Arrezzo War Cemetery in Italy.

Philip said: “The losses in both wars were high considering that Queen Elizabeth was such a small grammar school.”
