Shipton named BT Welsh Journalist of the Year

Wales on Sunday chief reporter Martin Shipton has been named BT Welsh Journalist of the Year 2000.
Martin, who joined the paper in 1994, took the title after judges made him BT Daily Newspaper Journalist of the Year in a ceremony at the Cardiff Hilton Hotel on Tuesday April 18.To read what the judges said about him, and for details of the runners-up in the Daily Journalist category, click here

They received trophies and a share of almost £4,000 from John Davies, BT Director Wales. Many of the winners go on to represent Wales in the UK finals in London on June 29.
