For the second year running, the Mid Devon Gazette has teamed up with Tiverton Town Council and jewellers G W Pack to find the area’s unsung heroes and heroines.

Deputy editor of the newspaper, Mary-Ann Bloomfield, said: “Nominations could be made for a neighbour who has been a special support in times of trouble, perhaps a child who helps to look after an ailing parent, brother or sister.

“Or it could be for a charity volunteer who helps to make sure other people’s lives are made just that bit easier, or someone who has made special achievements in the face of disability.”

Winners will receive trophies at the mayoral reception in December.

Nomination forms are appearing in the newspaper and the closing date is November 9.
