Media Trust is looking for confident people with expertise in new media, with ten charities needing advice on PR and new media.
There’s a ‘Speedmatching’ evening 6pm to 8pm tomorrow at Disney Channel UK, Hammersmith, London, to bring charities and media professionals together. Similar to speed dating, each charity and professional have five minutes with each other to see if the media folk can help them at all.
Requests range from help with writing a press release, website content to advice on blogs.

The National Union of Journalists has arranged an insurance policy for freelance journalists.
The professional indemnity and public liability policy covers the risks of being sued for libel, and other legal actions, and is being run through Imaging Insurance, which also runs a policy for NUJ photographers.

Titles like Norfolk’s EDP and the Evening News, Suffolk’s EADT and the Evening Star in Ipswich, and titles across London, Herts & Cambs and the South West, have collectively reached the milestone figure – a growth of 66 per cent year-on-year. Figures for January show that more than 1,076,000 readers visited one of the websites at least once during the month.


Following the success of Valentine’s day ‘lovecasts’ on the Peterborough Evening Telegraph website, the paper embarked on ‘mumcasts’ to mark Mothering Sunday, recording messages for mums to be broadcast via peterboroughtoday.co.uk.
