Readers share Budget 'wish list' online

A new section looking at the regional issues in the Budget has been launched at www.manchesteronline.co.uk.

The Budget section includes the latest news in the run-up to the Chancellor’s speech tomorrow as well as the key issues likely to affect people in the north west.

Readers can send in their own ‘wish list’ for the big day as well as enter a contest to guess the length of the speech – where a dinner for two is up for grabs.

There is also a panel of people from the Greater Manchester area who tell of the problems they experience on a day-to-day basis and what Gordon Brown could do for them in his 2002 Budget.

ManchesterOnline content editor Sarah Hartley said: “The Budget coverage means that ManchesterOnline readers will be able access the latest news and information or just have fun telling us their own personal Budget plans or guessing the time it will take Gordon Brown to complete his speech.”

The new service will be online until the end of April.
