Profiling the 'winners':ABC news

Among the good news in the newly-published ABC figures was a rise of 1.26 per cent for the Bolton Evening News, which now enjoys a circulation of 41,073.

The Ipswich Evening Star increased its sales by 0.68 per cent to 29,920 and in Weymouth, the Dorset Evening Echo also increased sales, by 0.67 per cent to 20,891.

The York Evening Press is placed equal third with an increase in sales, by 0.67 per cent to 42,546.

At the top of the table for paid-for weekly circulation growth was the Clydebank Post, which boosted sales by 13.9 per cent to 9,672.
