Porn videos taken off shelves following investigation

Porn videos have been removed from the shelves of a shop following an investigation by the Paisley Daily Express.

The paper found that explicit videos were on sale at a discount store alongside childrens toys.

The videos – A Star is Porn, which shows men and women carrying out explicit sex acts, were on sale for just 50p only feet away from the toy rack and were also on display in the shop window.

Shelves were cleared of the video after the Paisley Daily Express alerted Trading Standards.

The paper also contacted store bosses who pledged to remove the videos – part of a special promotion – from the shop floor.

A spokesperson said: “Around 20 of the videos have been removed from the table. I apologise if they upset or offended anybody.

“This particular video was just laid out on the table with the others because they were all part of our two items for £1 offer.

“However, it would not have been sold to anybody under the age of 18. If a young person tried to buy a copy, we would always check their ID.”
