Entertainer and explorer Pete McCarthy will be one of the speakers at the Bristol Evening Post’s next literary lunch.
He is part of a triple bill of top writers and will be joined by romantic novelist Sarah Harrison and Bristol author Jeannie Johnson at the event on March 14.


A Felixtowe woman has found her long-lost brother after 40 years apart thanks to the Bristol Evening Post website.
She used the paper’s Finding Friends section and is now looking forward to his “dream come true” visit later this year.

Scores of youngsters enjoyed magic and music at a special Christmas party in Congresbury – thanks to the North Somerset Times.
More than 60 children packed into the village’s War Memorial Hall for the party which was the latest in a string of fundraisers organised by the newspaper and villagers to raise cash for improvements to the community hall which desperately needs a new roof.
The North Somerset Times secured sponsorship for the kids Christmas party from a local garage to the tune of £150 and editor Heather Pickstock said: “The newspaper was keen to lead this scheme and help raise money to secure its future for generations to come.”
