Associated Northcliffe Digital has appointed Russell Scott as local digital property director.
The former fish4homes MD’s new role will be to strengthen the local digital property strategy of Northcliffe Newspapers, working closely with Northcliffe’s regional managing directors and relevant teams across the UK.


The number of appeals made to the Scottish Information Commissioner has hit more than 1,000, new figures have revealed.
Almost two-thirds were made by members of the public but eight per cent came from the media, anxious to make an appeal when a request for data under Freedom of Information legislation was turned down.


A filthy alleyway in Skegness, Lincs, has been cleaned up after rubbish had been left to pile up for months, following a campaign by the Skegness Standard which highlighted the mess.
Rotting rubbish, black bin liners, litter, weeds and an abandoned car were causing problems until the alley was brought to the attention of the local authority, which cleared the public area. Rubbish on adjacent private land was removed soon after.
