Lindsay Nicholson, editor-in-chief of Good Housekeeping magazine, and Harriet Wilson, director of editorial administration and rights at Conde Nast, have joined the Editors’ Code of Practice Committee, which reviews the voluntary code of standards overseen by the Press Complaints Commission.
Nominated by the Periodical Publishers Association, they replace Tom Loxley, following his departure from Maxim magazine, and James Bishop, of Illustrated London News, who is standing down after nine years on the committee.


Almost half of Europe’s “Young Metropolitans” – 18-34 year-olds living and working in major cities – now read a daily free newspaper every week where they are available.
And new research from TNS Gallup also shows that 26 per cent read a free paper every day. Significantly, 28 per cent of Young Metropolitan readers, an important group for advertisers, read only a daily free paper every week while 23 per cent read both a free and a paid-for title.


Award winning broadcaster and journalist Jon Snow, the face of Channel 4 News, will be in conversation with Sue Cameron about his new autobiography Shooting History at the Royal Geographical Society on Tuesday, November 16.
