New season, new lookfor the Mercury

The Bridgwater Mercury has been given a new look for spring.

The paper has launched the improvements under the slogan Get the message the Mercury is now offering more pages, more local news, more leisure and sport – and, from the advertising side, promises more bargains!

The new-look Mercury has a new running order with news packaged together at the front followed by improved sections such as the Postbag, Schools & Colleges and Leisure.

The extra pages are also being used to ensure full coverage of local Town andVillage News. And there is even more space devoted to the paper’s sportscoverage.

The changes coincide with a competition that will see one lucky reader walk away with £500 in cash.

Taunton centre general manager Vincent Boni said: “The Mercury has been going from strength to strength over recent months.

“We are confident these improvements will ensure the Mercury continues to bethe only choice for readers and advertisers.”

Editor-in-chief Ken Bird added: “We’ve got a great team in Sedgemoor andhaving more pages every week will enable us to provide an even betterservice to our many loyal readers and advertisers.”
