New editor for Scarborough newspaper

Paul Napier has been named as the new editor of the Scarborough Evening News.

Paul, (35), joins the Evening News from the Bucks Herald in Aylesbury, where he was previously editor-in-chief.

He said: “I’m delighted to be joining the Evening News. This is a paper with a wonderful tradition of serving the community of Scarborough this will certainly continue.

“I am looking forward to getting out and about in Scarborough over the coming weeks, meeting as many of our readers as possible.”

Paul was also previously editor of the Banbury Guardian, and before that spent seven years on the Evening Telegraph in Kettering, rising to the position of assistant editor.
