Millionaire star to speak at paper's literary lunch

Star speakers are being lined up for the Bristol Evening Post’s first Literary lunch.

The paper has teamed up with a local bookshop for the charity event, the proceeds from which will go to improve literacy skills in some of the city’s most deprived areas.

The speakers include Judith Keppel, who won £1m on Who Wants to be a Millionaire and Poet Laureate Andrew Motion.

Post deputy editor Stan Szecowka said: “It has taken months of planning but we are delighted to stage the event which we are sure will be a hit with our readers.”

Also speaking at the lunch, on October 12, will be Lorna Almonds Windmill, who has written the true story of her father’s courage and survival as Gentleman Jim, the founder of the SAS.
