Mail links to Premier Club

An evening newspaper has become a key partner for a Yorkshire business, sport and leisure complex.

The Premier Club business and social club at the £43.5m Kingston Communications Stadium – home to the Hull FC rugby league club and Hull City FC – now has the Hull Daily Mail as a partner.

And editor John Meehan said: “We want to work with the club to make it the best place to watch sporting events and network with like-minded people from the business community.”

  • Editor John Meehan, with stadium project chairman Adam Pearson and project diretor Ken Sharp
  • As part of the partnership, the Mail will co-produce monthly newsletters for Premier Club members and will cover major lunches featuring keynote speeches.

Membership guarantees access to all events at the stadium, including football, rugby and basketball matches, as well as concerts, for the next five years.

And member privileges include a permanent padded seat with a name-plate on the back in the exclusive West Stand area.

Assistant editor Marc Astley said: “We have sponsored Hull City in the past in the usual way that newspapers do and when this opportunity arose we decided it would be a good idea to be involved.

“We have a good working relationship with the people involved in the development and we were keen to sponsor the Premier Club. It was seen as vital the Mail played a strong part in helping the project succeed and this was the perfect opportunity.”
