Mail is "committed to publicity" on yobs

“There is no hiding place for anti-social people” – that’s the message being rammed home by the Hull Daily Mail.

The paper is working with a Home Office partnership responsible for requesting anti-social behaviour orders from the courts.

It has covered the Hull Citysafe partnership’s successes in promoting the best ways to tackle public nuisance.

Editor John Meehan said: “It is important to show people subjected to these orders that we are committed to publicising who they are and what they have done.”

The paper is set to cover a conference on yobbish behaviour and youth crime this week and will feature in a presentation by the local police.

Officers will show copies of the Mail and explain how they have helped publicise the problems and the work of agencies looking for solutions.
