Long-serving Lewis retires from Express

Long-serving editor Brian Lewis has retired from the Kentish Express.

He has been with the Kent Messenger Group for 24 years, and stepped down from his editorship three days before his 60th birthday.

Brian started off in journalism at the East Kent Times in 1963 as a trainee reporter, joined the Kent Messenger Group in 1970 and took charge of the Kentish Express in 1984.

He is looking forward to a retirement which will allow him to spend more time with his family and enjoy a more outdoors life, walking, cycling and fishing.

Brian (pictured centre with his wife Gloria and KM editorial director Simon Irwin) marked his retirement with a party for friends, colleagues and family.
