A reward of £10,000 has been put up for information that can lead detectives to the man who left a teenager fighting for her life.
The cash has been put after a link-up between the Peterborough Evening Telegraph, the business community and the police.
Detectives have also released an artist’s impression of a man they need to question – of whom police say: “If he did not attack the girl, it is highly likely he saw who did.”
Detective Chief Inspector Dick Harrison said: “A young woman was savagely attacked and left for dead.
“Whoever attacked her is very dangerous and must be caught immediately.”
The 16-year-old victim was beaten unconscious and left for dead near her home in Crabtree, Paston. She was found partially naked and had been clubbed with a blunt object.
She is aware of what happened but has no memory of it, or of recent events.
