A Tamworth Herald reporter got hot under the collar to fulfil one of her lifetime ambitions.

When Linda Ram was given the chance to learn the art of fire eating and flame throwing, she was eager to take up the challenge.

She said: “I can’t believe I actually went through with it. It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a while.

“It is as scary as it looks, but once you know how to do it, and follow all the safety guidelines, flame throwing is an amazing and exhilarating experience.

“And I survived it without any burns or injuries.”
