The Lennox Herald has celebrated its 150th anniversary.
To mark the event a celebratory dinner was held in Dumbarton Football Club’s Strathclyde Homes stadium function suite, when the guests were piped in by Dumbarton and District Pipe Band.
Charles Birrell, commercial director of Scottish and Universal Newspapers Ltd, owners of the Herald, welcomed everyone to the dinner.
Top table guests at the event included Herald editor Graham Crawford; George McNeill, assistant manager of Livingston Football Club; Douglas Dalgleish, chairman of Dumbarton Football Club; and Alex Cargill, managing director of Scottish and Universal Newspapers.
Mr Cargill paid tribute to the Lennox Herald and the vital role it has played in Dunbartonshire for the past century-and-a-half.
While Guest speaker George McNeill, a former professional runner who is now assistant manager of Livingston Football Club, entertained guests with an account of his life and times.
