Teen hooligans named thanks to Courier

A legal application by the Halifax Courier has led to the identity of two teenage hooligans being revealed in print.

The paper was keen to report on a pair of youngsters, aged 14 and 15, who were both given anti-social behaviour orders at Calderdale Youth Court.

They were banned from entering a city estate and any school premises, except for educational purposes.

The Courier said that magistrates reinforced their commitment to protect the public by upholding its application to lift reporting restrictions on the pair.

The brothers had been arrested on 98 occasions between them in the past five years.
