Jane Wolstenholme has been confirmed as the editor of the Daily Post in Liverpool.
The 28-year-old has been in the role of acting editor since October, when editor Alastair Machray was promoted to editor-in-chief of the Post & Echo’s Welsh operations.
She stepped up from being assistant editor of the Post’s sister paper, the Liverpool Echo, and is a graduate of Liverpool University, having been born and bred in the city joining the Daily Post and Echo as a trainee. She is also a former Daily Mail sub-editor.
The Daily Post split into two editions in the autumn – one for England and one for Wales, and Jane will now head up development of the English edition.
