Gazette searches for model readers

The Shields Gazette is giving its readers the chance to win a modelling contract.

Wannabe models will have the chance to strut their stuff on the catwalk at a fashion show organised by the paper – and two of them will also scoop a contract with Tyne Tees Models and win the title of Gazette Face of 2002.

The models will be chosen at a casting day where a model boss from Tyne Tees Models, the fashion show’s director Peter Darrant, and the Gazette’s Joy Yates will select 20 models.

Readers will then get to decide which two people they think deserve to win the modelling contracts.

The two lucky winners will get registration with Tyne Tees Models, which could include a five-year-contract depending on their potential, a test session including make-up and styling, and an introduction to London agencies.

The complete prize is worth more than £400 per model.

The winners will be featured in a Gazette fashion shoot and will also see their success on the paper’s website.
