The future of local media and the impact of local TV is due to come under the spotlight tomorrow.

Johnston Press chief executive Tim Bowdler and Jeff Henry, chief executive of ITV Consumer, will deliver keynote addresses as movers and shakers from the worlds of press and broadcasting gather for a Westminster Media Forum seminar.

The event is being held at The Brit Oval in London.

Topics under discussion will include the latest evidence on the appetite for and consumption of locally-relevant media and developments in the way newspapers are migrating to new platforms.

The impact of local TV, its potential and commercial viability will also be tackled.

Other speakers confirmed for the event include GMG Regional Media chief executive Mark Dodson; Ian Davies, director of business development for Archant; Paul O’Halloran, commercial director, Surrey and Berkshire, Guardian Media Group; and Newspaper Society marketing director Robert Ray.
