Former staff from the Telegraph & Argus in Bradford are set to get together for an evening of nostalgia next month, at a reunion organised by some of the paper’s former journalists.

Alison Garford, Clare Walker and Julie Stott, who all worked at the paper during the 1980s and 1990s, are currently trying to contact ex-colleagues interested in attending the event at the Winter Gardens in Ilkley on May 22.

Former deputy news editor Alison, ex-health reporter Clare Walker and Julie Stott, who was the paper’s Shipley district reporter and sports reporter, decided to organise a get-together after having a nostalgic chat at a party last June.

And among those already planning to attend are former T&A editors Arnold Hadwin and Mike Glover.

Alison said: “The reunion is open to anybody at all who has any interest in being there – old colleagues from any department, freelancers or whoever.

“Interest so far has been great – it’s largely been advertised by word-of-mouth.”
