Editor urges readers to campaign

The editor of the Rugby Advertiser has asked the paper’s readers to make their opinions known on whether Rugby should have its own Primary Care Trust.

The official decision on the matter will result in either Rugby having its own Trust or becoming part of North Warwickshire Trust and the paper is urging readers to campaign for Rugby to have its own.

In addition to the official comment sheet that members of the public can obtain, the Rugby Advertiser and Rugby Observer will be printing their own to ensure that readers’ voices are heard.

In his comment column, editor Peter Aengenheister said: “The future is quite literally in your hands.

“You have marched with passion in the past over services at St Cross. For goodness sake don’t get sidelined just when you really can make all the difference.

“There is lots to say and a lot to read, but please make the effort, and then make your response.”
