The editor of the Maidenhead Advertiser, Martin Trepte, has been appointed to the newspaper’s board of directors.

The move is his latest up the career ladder at the Advertiser, where he started work 11 years ago as a reporter.

Before becoming editor in 1997 he held the positions of chief reporter, news editor and deputy editor.

He told readers following the annoucement: “I am thrilled to be joining the board of directors and look forward to taking a wider role in helping to bring the Advertiser forwards in the new millennium.”
