'Echoes' book causes a stir

More than 10,000 copies of a book celebrating the centenary of the Bournemouth Daily Echo have already been sold.

The 172-page book was launched at the end of April and copies have been snapped up by readers.

Called Echoes of the Century, it chronicles the news that has filled the pages of the south coast evening title year-by-year.

Delighted editor Neal Butterworth, said: “It’s going really well and creating a fair old stir.”

The hard work by the editorial team which put the book together has been recognised by a nomination in the category of Production Team of the Year in the Press Gazette awards, to be presented on July 7.
