The South Wales Evening Post is in the running for an award thanks to its backing for Swansea’s annual Dylan Thomas Festival.

The paper has been shortlisted for a prize in the annual Arts & Business Cymru Awards, which celebrate sponsorship of the arts by business.

Arts & Business Cymru director, Rachel Jones, said: “The newspaper is in the best sponsorship in-kind category for its partnership with the Dylan Thomas Centre.”

Since the festival was launched in summer 1998, the Evening Post has backed it up with supplements and strong coverage in the paper.

The winners will be announced in May.
