Prue Caffrey, former advertising manager of The Cornishman, has died.

She was born in Tunbridge Wells and moved to Cornwall with her husband Ian, and children Simon and Penny, in 1969, where she was better known as Prue Orr. She worked as advertising manager for The Cornishman for many years.

In 1991, her husband Ian died from cancer, although she stayed in the area for another six years before moving to Oldham to live near her daughter.

In August last year Prue remarried, but sadly she too was diagnosed with cancer in March this year.

Prue leaves her husband, Terry, her children and three grandchildren.
