Journalists are being given the chance to enjoy a night of networking, drinking and dancing, thanks to the Birmingham Press Club.

The world’s oldest press club is once again holding a Press Ball, following a sell-out event last year.

It will be held at The Burlington Hotel, New Street, Birmingham, on Friday, November 18.

Chairman Andrew Sparrow said: “The Birmingham Press Club Ball is one of the blue ribbon events of the city’s social calendar and one of the very rare occasions when business and the media can meet and mingle.”

It will be sponsored by accountants and business advisers PKF for the second year running.

Andrew said: “Press Club events can only happen by virtue of the generous sponsorship of our corporate supporters and PKF have been quick to give their commitment to the Press Club Ball again which makes forward planning very much easier.”
