Chronicle supports deaf centre

The Essex Chronicle has launched an appeal to boost resources available for the local deaf community.

It wants readers to help build up the amount of equipment, like computers, video phones and other items, which are on offer at St Mark’s Centre for Deaf People in Chelmsford.

The vital work of the Royal Association for Deaf People was highlighted in an exhibition in the town centre, and also launched the Chronicle’s backing for RAD as its official charity for the year.

The campaign will benefit deaf people of all ages and feature its progress in the pages of the paper.
