Chance to kick-about with stars of yesterday

The Kingston and Richmond Comet is offering its readers the chance to play football against some of the biggest stars from the past.

The Spurs Legends team arrive at Molseley football club in October for a charity match against a specially-formed community team.

However, the community team is still one player short and the newspaper has appealed for readers to write in and offer their services.

The match takes place on Sunday, October 22, and all proceeds will go towards meningitis research and Molseley ReFresh Centre youth projects.

Stars of yesteryear who turn out for the Legends team include Martin Chivers, Paul Allen and Mark Falco. The community team will be skippered by ex-Chelsea star Clive Walker.

Readers can apply for the remaining place by sending in 100 words explaining why they want to take part. The only condition is that they must be at least 30 and physically fit.
