The struggling Priestley Centre has been given a three-month lifeline after its appeal for help brought in £11,225.
Directors of the theatre have praised the Save the Priestley campaign, which began last month when it was revealed the theatre company had to raise £10,000 by the end of October to pay creditors.
Glenn Boldly said: “It’s a great relief to know that we can now turn our attention towards building this theatre back up.
“The T&A has done an excellent job as we are very grateful.”
The theatre has now produced a draft business plan and is developing an arts/business partnership with local firms.
