An appeal to support youth in the Westcountry is being backed by the Somerset County Gazette.

The appeal is hoping to raise £250,000 towards six projects to help children and young people reach their full potential.

The fundraising push is being run with NCH, which runs more than 460 projects nationwide.

County Gazette editor-in-chief Ken Bird said: “A lot of young people in Somerset have good cause to be grateful for the work of the NCH over the years.

“We are delighted to support such a worthwhile campaign as Supporting Somerset’s Youth to help bolster the six projects across the county.”
