Success story countdown

The Hull Daily Mail has taken a look back at a roller-coaster six months for Molly-Ann after it helped find a donor for the young leukaemia sufferer – and raised £30,000 for charity.

The paper launched its Gift of Life appeal to find a donor for Molly-Ann Barnett in July after an initial search of the bone marrow register failed to find a match for the six-year-old.

After the Mail highlighted her plight, thousands more people came forward to be tested. The Molly-Ann Barnett appeal, supported by the Mail, also raised £30,000 for leukaemia research.
