Drug-dealing info boost

Police have praised a campaign appealing for information on drug dealers in Wiltshire following another appeal for help from a heartbroken mother.

The campaign, being run by the Wiltshire Gazette, is called ‘Shop a Pusher’ and gives the public a chance to give confidential information to police concerning drug dealers.

PC Des Moloney, of the Melksham-based drugs unit, said: “We had 15 different messages left on the answerphone. This information could help corroborate existing intelligence.”

The ‘Shop a Pusher’ campaign has been running for a week and followed the story of Paul and Anne Adams, of Calne.

Their 19-year-old daughter left home shortly after Christmas after confessing to being a heroine addict for the past year and dabbling in drugs since the age of 14.
