Clubspot hits the mark

The Hull Daily Mail has held a Clubspot Spectacular to raise money for the newspaper’s Building For The Future campaign.

The variety show is in its eighth successful year and featured local performers alongside more seasoned pros like the Grumbleweeds.

The campaign is raising money for a new £2.5m Age Concern and Healthy Living Centre in Hull.

The city council has already agreed a £867,000 grant and has promised to underwrite a further £1.2m

Age Concern has to provide the remaining £30,000 and the Mail started its appeal to help the group reach its target.

Mail assistant editor Marc Astley said: “Once again Clubspot was a massive success. Our biggest thanks goes to the audience.”
