A new singing sensation in Bradford has put his weight behind theTelegraph and Argus’ Bradford Can…Appeal.

Star for a Night winner Mark Kerins has spoken out to back theappeal which aims to raise £1m for cancer research.

The Bradford Can…Appeal funds will go towards state-of-the art researchwhich will put Bradford on the map as a world leader in cancer research.

Money raised by the public is being doubled by Bradford health firmSovereign Health Care, which has pledged to give £100,000 as part of theoffer.

All cash raised will benefit the University of Bradford in its attemptsto find a breakthrough in the battle against cancer and allow experts atBradford Royal Infirmary to conduct vital clinical trials of newanti-cancer drugs.

When the appeal reaches its £1m target, it will trigger a further £5minjection from Cancer Research UK.

Singer Mark said: “Cancer is something that effects everyone and if byhighlighting the appeal at my concert will help then I have no problems with backing it and encouraging other people to help it too.”
