Bride-to-be reporter shares her plans for the big day in Star's new column

Reporter and bride-to-be Kate Boxell is sharing her wedding plans and preparations with readers in a column in her newspaper, the Ipswich Evening Star.

The excited journalist will wed fiance Kevin Gooding in September, and in the run up to the big day she is sharing her thoughts and experiences by penning a light-hearted column.

Kevin has also got in on the act, telling readers how he is taking an active part in planning the “dream wedding”.

So far Kate has written about the cost of weddings and how the couple plan to pay for theirs, searching for the perfect wedding dress and why they will be asking for charity donations rather than making a wedding list.

She has also admitted to feeling “completely worn out” with months of organising still to go and to endlessly talking about her plans.

She wrote: “I’ve become Bridezilla and I’m not proud of it. I’ve found myself apologising more in the past eight weeks than in the whole three-and-half years we’ve been together.

“I can’t understand why Kev puts up with me – I guess I should count my blessings that I’ve found a man who can.”
