The Birmingham News, one of the country’s biggest free distribution newspapers, is going “ultra-local”.
The weekly free – which distributes more than 160,000 copies each week – is being rebranded this week as seven local newspapers.
Each will serve a specific local area of Britain’s second biggest city, and to help get to the grass roots the newspaper has recruited an army of citizen correspondents.
