Bear helps out in newsroom

A friendly bear from Wycombe Hospital has been helping out at the Bucks Free Press and South Bucks Star.

Nosey the Bear’s ‘nose for a story’ prompted Star editor Steve Cohen to take a backseat while the furry trainee reporter took over the newspaper offices.

Astounded reporters were so impressed by Nosey’s ability they feared their much-loved editor would be given his marching orders.

Even photographers got the afternoon off as Nosey, who can usually be found at Wycombe Hospital’s Children’s Ward, rushed off on every call, snapping a few exclusives.

Nosey, who helps children overcome fear in hospital, is no stranger to dizzy heights both in and out of the newsroom.

He has had an adventurous few months, learning how to fly at jet at RAF Scampton near Lincoln, ride a royal horse and trying judo.

And his adventures are set to continue with plans in the pipeline for him to go on a bungee jump and a parachute jump.
