Journalists from across Yorkshire will be fighting it out for the prizes at the Yorkshire Press Awards later this week.

News staff from across the county will gather at the Thorpe Park Hotel and Spa in Leeds on Thursday, when winners will be announced during a glittering ceremony.

Guests will also be entertained by keynote speaker Sir Bernard Ingham, former press secretary to Lady Thatcher.

The event is sponsored by Yorkshire Water, with support from the Yorkshire Forward Development Agency.
